Design philosophy

We wanted a small library with no dependencies and a tiny footprint. It should respect the user’s choices and the browser’s signals, keep its API simple and its docs clear, and stay usable by keyboard and screen reader.

Inspiration

This site’s look — the EU-flag palette, the sharp corners, the serif display face, the light/dark/high-contrast themes, the layout rhythm — comes from ConsentTheater.org. We liked what they built, so we borrowed from it liberally.
